Grammarly — Rich Text Formatting Has Arrived! [Update 2019]

Grammarly recently announced a much-needed feature which is known as the rich text formatting option.

You can now copy-paste the article from your Google Doc or Microsoft Word, and Grammarly will preserve all the formatting.

I know how painful it can be to reformat everything after proofreading. It will save much time for editors, writers, and students.

Grammarly Rich Text Formatting Has Arrived

You'll see all the formatting options at the bottom of your editor.

DISCLAIMER: Grammarly is yet to support images and table formatting. So, if you're copy-pasting the articles directly from your doc to Grammarly with images, you won't see them.

I hope they'll add both these features in the future.

One workaround to solve this issue is that you use Grammarly directly in Google Doc. If you're a Windows user, you can download the Grammarly's Windows app and use it directly.

The advantage of it is you can proofread the article with images and table formatting.

Benefits of Rich Text Formatting

There are several benefits to this feature, and they are as follows:

#1. Freelancers/Writers

For freelancers, it's a game-changing feature as they always keep juggling between the Grammarly Editor and the document.

The worst part is, they always have to reformat the entire document, which eats up more time.

If you're a freelance content writer, you'll love this feature. Moreover, if you write the article directly in Grammarly, now you can format it correctly and paste it directly in the document.
